What students said (EBS 4)

Christian, Zurich: This EBS-4 was phenomenal! The theme clearly could be lived out in that beautiful part of the Gods creation. Mirko Russo did an impressive slide show on the greatness of God. David McAnulty guided us through some spiritual excercises like being silent with God for an extended time. Fred Faller from Boston was teaching a day on prayer. The fellowship was outstanding and the brothers and sisters from the Geneva church served us tireless. I rarely felt that a weekend was changing the way I go about my daily Christianity so deeply. Looking at the days after the EBS I think I have been "converted to prayer". My desire to be close to God has increased and I consider the weekend an answer to my prayers and a longer search for a more spiritual walk with my God. I thank God for this weekend.

Nicholas, Hamburg: The EBS was such a refreshing and faith building time for me. Living in the mountains for 4 days makes it so easy to withdraw from the busy demands of the world and focus just on God and walking with him. We learned about revering God, being silent in his presence, and praying to him. In the end I felt like I got a small glimpse of what heaven might be like: surrounded by brothers and sisters, worshipping God all day long.

Fred, Boston: I really appreciated the conference - It was inspiring and encouraging. I don't think I have ever been to something quite so relaxed and yet so useful. I am praying for all the churches in Europe and really want to keep in touch and to help in any way I can.

Yannick, Paris: This EBS had a real impact on my daily life (at least until now but I pray that it will last "forever"). The location in the mountains, the order and content of classes and activities were just perfectly aligned to change my heart in a way that I have not experienced before.

Lukas, Prague: It was a wonderful time at EBS 4 in Praz de Lys. The area of French Alps with the view of Mont Blanc was a great choice for the teaching about God and relationship with Him. Just coming there and seeing all the mountains remained me the verses about God being our rock. And the teaching supported just that. We were taught, that God is in control, that silence before God is no lost time, but very precious time, and we could hear about Fred Faller’s convictions he gets out of practicing long daily prayer in his live.  I feel the challenge to trust more God and not to try to have all in my hands. And I have to say something about the atmosphere I have experienced there. We were around 40 participants from all over the continent. Yet I felt as in a great family. And this atmosphere would not have been possible without sisters and brothers from Geneva church who took care of us, who prepared food for us and who were always smiling. As I said, it was a wonderful time!!
